Therese has completed additional training on specific tests so that if appropriate, she can offer state of the art functional testing to her clients.

Why further testing?

Specialised functional testing can allow us to dig deeper to investigate root causes of symptoms and conditions. Here are examples of some of these tests.

Lifecode GX Genetic DNA testing through Nutrition with Therese

Lifecode Gx® offers a range of specialist nutrigenomics DNA test panels which inform how inherited health risks can be mitigated through personalised nutrition and lifestyle change.

Genotype results are presented in the context of nutrition and other environmental factors, such as sleep, stress, physical activity and chemicals, that can influence them. Our unique colour-coded pathway diagrams provide easy to digest visual summaries, alongside in-depth insights into the risks or protective potential of each genotype. This enables a deeper and holistic understanding of results and identification of the lifestyle changes that will be most effective.

Therese offers all Lifecode GX tests especially those related to cardiometabolic issues such as weight gain.

Cardiometabolic Serum test

This advanced test evaluates risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD) plus metabolic factors associated with metabolic syndrome and type II diabetes. In addition to the traditional CVD risk factors, the test includes much more clinically sensitive atherogenic lipoprotein sub-species, the primary apolipoproteins, arterial inflammation and the activity of the lipoprotein- associated phospholipase- A2 (PLAC®). PLAC® activity is a very sensitive indicator of active atherogenesis and instability of advanced arterial plaque. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is centered around insulin resistance and atherogenic dyslipoproteinemia, and is a risk factor associated with CVD and kidney disease. (Glycomark®) that is a better indicator of hyperglycemic episodes than HbA1C. The primary adipokines associated with insulin sensitivity and hepatic fatty acid metabolism are also addressed.

Dutch testing

DUTCH testing is a comprehensive report that can help identify the root causes of sex hormone and adrenal imbalances in both women and men. It can provide insights into conditions such as premenstrual syndrome, PMDD, PCOS, menopause, infertility, weight gain, fatigue, low libido, sleep issues and mood disorders in women. As well as infertility, weight gain, fatigue, low libido, sleep issues, mood disorders and prostate issues in men. Additionally, the test can be used to gather baseline measurements for the administration and monitoring of hormone replacement therapy.

Gut testing

Gut testing involves a comprehensive stool test to identify microbiome, digestive function, gut barrier, pathogenic bacteria, yeast, fungi, parasites etc.

She uses several different gut tests that best suit each client.
